How the Subsidy Works
SAFE covers the real costs that keep kids on the sideline. Here's exactly what we pay for.
Apply Online
A parent or guardian submits an application with basic household and sport information. Takes about 5 minutes.
We Review
Our team reviews every application within 3–5 business days. We may follow up with a quick question.
Funds Released
Approved families receive payment directly to the league, club, or vendor — so the money goes exactly where it's needed.
Child Plays
Your child gets on the field, court, or ice — no financial stress, no missed seasons.
What We Cover
- League registration fees
- Required equipment (cleats, pads, helmets, etc.)
- Uniforms and jerseys
What We Don't Cover
- Private coaching or personal training
- Travel and lodging expenses
- Fundraising obligations
Who Qualifies
SAFE is designed for families who need a hand — not a handout. Our criteria are straightforward and compassionate.
Child Age
The child must be between 5 and 18 years old at the time of application.
Household Income
Household income at or below the federal poverty level. We use a sliding scale — the lower the income, the higher the assistance.
Registered Program
The sport or activity must be through a registered league, school, or organized program.
US Residency
The family must reside in the United States. We currently serve families in all 50 states.
One Application Per Season
Families may apply once per sport per season. Multiple children in the same household may each apply.
